A Novel Index for Daily Flood Inundation Retrieval from CYGNSS Measurements

چکیده

Since flood inundation hampers human life and the economy, retrieval with high temporal resolution accuracy is essential for projection of environmental impact. In this study, a novel cyclone global navigation satellite system (CYGNSS)-based index, named annual threshold index (ATFII) retrieval, proposed, grades are quantified. First, CYGNSS surface reflectivity land properties (i.e., vegetation roughness) calibration derived based on zeroth-order radiative transfer model. Then, an ATFII proposed to achieve classified. The results validated Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) product GPM precipitation data. validation between indicate that enables at rapid timescales quantifies variation grades. Likewise, monthly results, R value VIIRS varies from 0.51 0.64, acceptable significance level (p < 0.05). study makes contributions in two aspects: (1) it provides index-based method mapping daily large scale, advantages fast speed convenience, (2) new way derive grade variations, which can help studying behavior response impacts directly.

3d Flood Information from Sar as a Means for Reducing Uncertainties in Flood Inundation Modeling

SAR images of river inundation prove to be very relevant for operational flood management. However, common exploitation of satellite images of floods is generally restricted to a flood extent extraction. The usefulness of these images could be significantly improved by providing a hydraulic-coherent 3-dimensional (3D) characterization of floods and by integrating these Remote Sensing-Derived (R...

A New Rapid Flood Inundation Model

In this study, we propose a new Rapid Flood Inundation Model (RFIM). The purpose of the RFIM is to generate predictions of water depth and flood extent using less computer resource than required by two-dimensional shallow water equation models (SWEMs). To be useful the RFIM must produce predictions that are comparable with those obtained from SWEMs. The model described here is an improvement on...

Evacuation Planning with Flood Inundation as Inputs

Recent flooding events happening in our city demonstrate frequency and severity of floods in the UK, highlighting the need to plan and prepare, and efficiently defend. Different from the numerous evacuation model and optimization algorithms, this paper aims to address flood evacuation planning with flood inundation as inputs. A dynamic flooding model and prediction to estimate the development o...

GIS and Flood Inundation Model-Based

Abstract: This paper presents the methodology and procedure for flood risk assessment using GIS and flood inundation model (FIM) based on the “micro-zonation concept” in which an entire floodplain considered is divided into numerous unit areas (meshes or grids). In this study, Shinkawa-river floodplain around Nagoya City of Aichi Prefecture in Japan an urbanized lowland area, which was greatly ...

Dynamic real-time prediction of flood inundation probabilities

The Bayesian Generalised Likelihood Uncertainty Estimation (GLUE) methodology, previously used in rainfall-runoff modelling, is applied to the distributed problem of predicting the space and time varying probabilities of inundation of all points on a flood plain. Probability estimates are based on conditioning predictions of Monte Carlo realizations of a distributed quasi-twodimensional flood r...
